In order to make sure that your WebQuest stays aligned with your unit, you will need to copy and paste 3 things from your Stages 1 and 2 from Dr. Grace's wiki onto this page. (This will also help Dr. Theresa give you better feedback on your Intro, Task, and Conclusion.) Then you will write your first drafts of your Introduction and Conclusion.

( Feel free to copy and paste what you have on your wiki page for Dr. Grace for the GRASPS portion of your unit (Stage 2). Note that you don't need the Standards part, though you can include it if you want.)
Goal
To create a TV pilot of a show called 'The Reformation'.
Role
An actor/actress looking to be hired.
Audience
Studio Executives at the Showtime Network.
Situation
Pitching a TV pilot to the executives and convince them to produce your episode.
Product & Performance
A 5-10 minute episode made on imovie.
Understanding(s)
The emerging technology affected the spread of the Reformation. The Reformation affected all of Europe. The Reformation had major long term effects.
Introduction
Ah, the year 1517. A time of religious tolerance, peace, and general happiness, right? AH HA. AH HA HA HA. AH...NO. Wrong. Horribly, horribly wrong. You're a muslim? Be prepared to be judged and kicked out of Europe. Jewish? Don't expect any good treatment here. Don't believe in the Pope? Vile heretic-to the stake with you! There is only one religion-Catholicism. Or rather, just 'The Church.' It doesn't even need a specific name, everyone knows it's just 'The Church.' W-What? Someone...a Mr. Martin Luther...has published a book, criticizing the Church? Vile heretic! He must be stopped! What? People are listening to him? They want change? All of them-vile heretics! Every last one of them! But so many people are leaving the Church...no...no...how can this be? NOOOOOOOOOOO.
Task
Your team is a group of struggling actors. Somehow, you manage to come up with enough money to meet with the studio executives at HBO Showtime to pitch them a pilot for their new show 'The Reformation.' Each team has been given a certain section of the Reformation that their episode will focus on. The episode will focus on the assigned aspect of the Reformation, what factors influenced that particular aspect, and what the aspect's consequences were. The episode will be at least five minutes, but no more than ten minutes. The executives expect a creative and unique performance that is both worthy of television but also very informative without contorting the facts for the sake of a television show. The executives watching this pilot will be observing to see how your episode not only fits into the Reformation era, but how this particular aspect might affect people in the long term. If the executives like your pilot episode enough, they will produce it and make it the new hit show 'The Reformation' on Showtime! This could be your big break-good luck!
Conclusion
Woohoo! Now wasn't that a journey? Hopefully, the making of this pilot was both a fun and challenging experience! There's a lot to be learned from a challenging experience though, as I'm sure you're now well aware. The first thing that you probably learned was that Hollywood will make a movie or a TV show out of anything. But hey-keep this up and you could be famous one day! More important than fame or money though, it what you learned. For without knowledge there can be no power! (Seriously-if no one had knowledge they wouldn't have been able to invent electricity, ergo no power.) Did you see some sort of connection that the Reformation has to the modern day? Are some of the problems the Protestants and Catholics faced still relevant today? The great thing about history is that the questions are always debated, and there can be many solutions to one problem, like making a movie. What do YOU think the answer is?
